Art Technician

A vacancy has arisen for an Art Technician role in the Secondary School to commence employment as soon as possible. 

The Art Technician supports the Secondary Art Department teaching staff to provide the best creative experience for our students. This is a proactive, on your feet role within a busy, energetic and dynamic department. The role requires you to manage the art spaces, ensure equipment is effectively stocked, prepare teaching aids and materials for lessons and provide in class technician support alongside the teacher working with students and assisting and coordinating the promotion of students' work for example, on screen (BSAK website, social media, Newsletters) and assist in the installation and display of work in the department and throughout the school community. 

The Art Technician is required to assist with gallery and exhibitions throughout the school year, including exam group exhibitions and moderation at the end of the year,  and the administration of exam documentation.

The hours would be 7.15am until 3pm Monday to Thursday and 7.15am until 11.30am on Fridays. The role benefits from published school holidays. The successful candidate will have to arrange their own sponsorship.
