The British School Al Khubairat is looking to employ a Cover Supervisor in Secondary School. This is a full time role to commence employment as soon as possible.

The objective of the role is the supervision of classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pre-prepared lessons are delivered effectively and that a safe, purposeful learning environment is maintained. The Cover Supervisor is expected to promote high standards of behaviour and engagement in line with the school’s policies, contribute to the welfare and supervision of pupils throughout the school day, and support the smooth running of the school.
The ideal candidate will be an English speaker. Candidates should have GCSEs and Secondary School Leavers certificate or equivalent. Further training and qualification in a specialist area (eg: Cache Level 3, TEFL / ESL, Diploma in SEND etc) and experience or clear interest in the following areas would be advantageous:
Working with children
Monitoring the progress of individuals
Mentoring
